Online Deer Hunting Tips
from:Here are a few deer hunting tips that I have learned over the years:
1. Before hunting in an area you should always scope the area out and look for deer tracks. Look for prints, droppings, antler scrapings etc. and see where there coming in and out at (or just see if there are any active tracks in the area at all).
2. Your scent can have a big effect on your hunting. Make sure that when you leave the house you do not track anything such as urine, bad smelling clothes, body odor, and anything else that can have a rank or misty smell. Another tip would be to go to your local walmart or hunting store and get some cheap doe urine (bucks love that stuff).
3. If you have a favorite area that you like to hunt but have noticed that deer are not very active in that area then get some bricks of salt and put around the edges of the woods or close to your tree stands or close to where you hunt at.
4. Don't fall victim to Buck Fever. When I was 12 years old I saw my first buck right under the treestand I was sitting in. I lined up my shot, I had it perfectly inclined at the back of this 8-points ear. Then all of a sudden I started to shake and eventually took the shot and missed completely.
5. Don't Fall Asleep, especially if your sitting down on the ground and not in a treestand. There have been a number of times where I was so tired I fell asleep during a hunt.
6. Stay still! Try not to move around to much because if a deer sees you he is gonna let his friends know that something is wrong.
